Description
This is a 40 hour, PA MPOETC approved Semi-Auto Pistol Instructor course restricted to law enforcement and military personnel aspiring to become certified law enforcement firearms instructors.

Expectations and Outcomes
Instructor candidates will graduate as confident entry-level pistol instructors. This course has been approved by MPOETC for a Certified LE Firearms Instructor Course. Students apply to MPOETC following successful graduation to become Pennsylvania Certified LE Firearms Instructors.
Certification is valid for 3 years from date of successful completion

Requirements
Required Equipment
- Semi-Automatic Pistol (9mm minimum)
- 3 magazines (Minimum)
- 1,300 rounds of ammunition
- Hip-worn Holster (Strong side)
- Holsters that require the use of the trigger finger to release weapon will not be permitted
- Sturdy Belt w/Magazine pouch
- Range and Weather-Appropriate Footwear and Clothing
- Hat/Cap
- Hearing Protection
- Eye Protection
- Notebook, Pen/Pencil, Highlighter
Pre-requisitesRestricted to:
- Current Law Enforcement with 3 years of active service
- Current, honorably discharged, or retired Military Personnel with 3 years of service
