Description
This course provides the Stop the Bleed course as developed by the American College of Surgeons in conjunction with the Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care. (CoTCC) This course provides instruction in providing treatment of life-threatening hemohorrage. The class goes beyond the basic information provided in the ACS Stop the Bleed Course and includes instruction in:
- Tourniquet use
- Wound Packing
- Pressure Bandage use
- Use of Chest Seals
- Mitigating Hypothermia

Expectations and Outcomes
Students will gain knowledge in life-saving treatment options for massive, uncontrolled bleeding. All students will receive a digital Stop the Bleed course certificate upon completion.
