About AFS Firearms Training
Matt Temkin has been an instructor of firearms/self defense for over 35 years,
His first instructor was his dad, a combat veteran of WW2'S Darby's Rangers.
Matt is a retired Peace Officer with the NYC Court System where he served 32 years as an officer and Supervisor which allowed him to train extensively with many experts in the field of armed/unarmed self defense.
Matt has taught basic-advanced combat shooting classes at police instructor conferences both in the States and overseas.
Matt is certified by the NYS Department 0f Justice as an Armed Security Guard/Use of Force Instructor and has taught thousands of Security Personnel.
Many of Matt's Self Defense articles have appeared in numerous Martial Arts Magazines.
Matt was also featured in a Point Shooting video produced by Paladin Press.
