Description

This focused 4-hour workshop is designed to build a solid foundation in the proper development of a two-handed grip for defensive handgun use. Participants will learn the essential mechanics behind a stable, efficient, and repeatable grip that enhances accuracy, recoil management, and overall firearm control under stress.

Led by experienced firearms instructors, this hands-on course includes a blend of dry-fire practice, live-fire drills, and individualized coaching. Emphasis will be placed on the biomechanics of hand placement, pressure distribution, support hand integration, and how to maintain grip integrity during rapid strings of fire.

Key Topics Covered:

Principles of a combat-effective two-handed grip

Dominant vs. support hand roles and pressure application

Grip alignment and consistency for improved accuracy

Recoil control and recovery techniques

Diagnosing and correcting common grip-related issues

Expectations and Outcomes

The student can expect to work hard.  Thru correct repetition, we do all we can to build good habits, work thru training scars and in some instances unwire poor practices developed over time.  We don't believe in only one way to do something, we believe that the "standard" speaks for itself.  We have a list an assortment of techniques that we believe are the most efficient and repeatable processes to achieve the desired end result, but recognize there is more than one way to get to the end, we rely on the "standard" as the final product.
We utilize several "challenge drills" as a way to "test" ourselves and typically each learning objective is concluded with some form of skills based hands on scored practical exercise.
We move at a pretty fast pace, often described as "drinking thru a firehose", but we maintain a very narrow focused learning activity by using several roads to get to the desired end location.
