Description
Day 1: 9 hours for the Basic Course (Level 1) offers the essential knowledge and skills that must be mastered to carry, store, and use a firearm safely and effectively for personal protection outside the home. Students spend several hours on the range and shoot approximately 100 rounds of ammunition during level one.
Day 2: 5 hours for the Advanced Course (Level 2) on the range and shooting approximately 115 rounds of ammunition learning advanced shooting skills.
Important note: you can do level one and then level two on a different training date than the one listed. I will need to know in advance.
This course teaches students the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential for avoiding dangerous confrontations and for the safe, effective, and responsible use of a concealed pistol for self-defense outside the home.
Prerequisite: This course is for adult individuals who are not disqualified from possessing a firearm as defined by applicable federal, state, or local law and are of good repute. Participants must also understand the basic legal concepts relating to the use of firearms in self-defense and must know and observe not only general gun safety rules but also those safety principles that are specific to defensive situations.

Requirements
Quality pistol appropriate for concealed carry: recommend a minimum of 9mm or .38 Special
Quality strong side hip holster: recommend form-fitted leather or kydex, must cover trigger/trigger guard (No cross draw or shoulder holsters allowed)
A quality belt that is sturdy enough to carry a holster
Quality ammunition is suitable for practice Level 1:100 rounds, Level 2: 115 rounds
Spare magazines or speed loaders with appropriate pouches (3 total)
Clothing appropriate for concealed carry
Eye protection
