Description
Build confidence in your unarmed self-defense skills with this introductory combatives courses. Learn simple, effective techniques to defend yourself efficiently against a variety of some of the most common types unarmed assaults, including standing and ground techniques. The concepts taught in this course are based upon the principles of Gracie Jiu-jitsu, and utilize leverage based techniques & positional control. No prior training or special skills are required.
Topics Covered
-Basic unarmed self defense techniques
-Standing defenses against common assaults
-Ground defenses & escapes
-Basic striking & grappling techniques for close quarters
Expectations and Outcomes
After succesfully completing this course, students will gain valuable knowledge & experience in defending themselves in close quarters against a variety of the most common types of assaults, both standing and on the ground, using the principles of positional control & leverage based techniques.
