Description
<! Upon successful completion of the Basic of Rifle course, students are expected to have the basic understanding of safe care and handling of a rifle. This course is for students who are beginners or experienced. Students will learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling, rifle parts and operation, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, range rules, proper maintenace, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students receive the Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, and Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet. Upon successfully passing a written exam and shooting qualification, students will receive a course completion certificate.

Expectations and Outcomes
THE COURSE GOAL IS TO TEACH THE BASIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTITUDE FOR OWNING AND OPERATING A RIFLE SAFELY.
CERTIFICATE UPON PASSING WRITTEN EXAMINATION AND QUALIFYING SHOOTING.

Documentation Requirements
STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO SHOW A VALID NC DRIVERS LICENSE OR STATE ID.
PLEASE ARRIVE 15 MINUTES EARLY TO FILL OUT APPROPRIATE PAPERWORK SO COURSE CAN START ON TIME.
The instructor requires a copy of your Government Issued ID once you register.
